Diamond Bracelet
A Timeless Gift For Anyone In Your Life!

Why, you ask, are there diamond bracelets that are referred to as a diamond tennis bracelet?

The diamond bracelet, known as the diamond tennis bracelet, received its name through an accident.

Chris Evert, a renowned tennis player, wore a bracelet containing an expensive string of diamonds. When she accidentally lost the bracelet while playing, she asked the officials to stop the game while she looked for it. Since then, this type of bracelet has been called the tennis bracelet.

Features of the tennis style bracelet

The tennis bracelet usually has a continuous row of diamonds set in yellow or white gold or platinum. This type of jewelry can have different sizes of stones. Individual diamonds are set in square settings and held together with a clasp. The settings and support metal can be wire or any other form of quality jewelry material. The design is such that you can comfortably wear these bracelets in all types of activities.

The clasp of the bracelet also has impressive features. These include:

  • Safety latch, which is secured by using a hook.
  • Figure eight latch, where one loop fits over a post and another loop snaps over an opposite post

Both of these types of clasps provide extra security should one or the other become worn.

Wearing a tennis bracelet

When you buy a tennis bracelet, you do need have this jewelry custom fitted. This is not only for security reasons, but also to make it more comfortable to wear. If the bracelet is too loose, it will sag and catch on the material of your clothing or on other objects. This could cause snags in your clothing but if the bracelet catches on an object it could mean that it will break and you could lose the diamonds. On the other hand, if the bracelet is too tight, it will be uncomfortable to wear because it will chafe your wrist.
