Diamond Bracelets, What more can a girl ask for!

Why, you ask, are there diamond bracelets that are referred to as a diamond tennis bracelet?

Chris Evert, the superstar American tennis player, is credited with the origin of the term. While she herself did not create the phrase, it was her actions during a 1987 U.S. Open tennis match that started the craze. Upon dropping her diamond bracelet during the match, she halted play to find the bracelet.

Since then, "tennis bracelet" is a commonly used and accepted expression.

What is a tennis bracelet?

You might also wonder, is there more to an actual tennis bracelet than its interesting historical background? Tennis bracelets are generally defined as a chain-like flexible bracelet that is comprised of the same sized and colored gemstones, most often diamonds. Variations of such a bracelet exist and include tennis bracelets with a pattern of alternating matched stones.

Tennis bracelets are made of various metals including the yellow precious metal known as gold. White gold, which is a mixed alloy metal comprised of gold and nickel, and yellow gold, an alloy of gold, copper, and silver, can often be found as the main base for the gemstone setting of the bracelet.

Anniversary Diamond Bracelets

Diamond tennis bracelets are often chosen as an anniversary gift symbolizing eternal love and devotion. As gemstones like diamonds are also defined as objects that are worn for adornment due to the notion that they possess a rare and durable beauty, such bracelets carry an additional deeper meaning.

Diamond tennis bracelets, with their interesting history and symbolism, make wonderful gifts. However, while it takes two to play tennis, tennis bracelets are special enough to purchase one yourself.
